We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef specializing in Chinese cuisines to join our team in Tatu City. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Develop and design a variety of authentic Chinese dishes that align with the restaurant's vision and client preferences.
- Innovate new dishes and adapt traditional Chinese recipes to suit customer tastes.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation are met consistently.
- Maintain hygiene and safety protocols in food preparation, storage, and handling.
- Monitor and manage inventory to ensure freshness and availability of ingredients.
- Liaise with suppliers to procure high-quality ingredients, ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
- Work closely with the kitchen staff and guide junior chefs on Chinese cooking techniques and processes.
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations by coordinating tasks effectively and maintaining clear communication.
- Interact with customers to understand their preferences and take feedback for continuous improvement.
- Tailor menus and dishes for special requests, events, or dietary restrictions.
Minimum Requirements & Responsibility
- A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a chef, with a specialization in preparing Chinese cuisine in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
- Diploma or certificate in catering, culinary arts, or any other relevant field.
- Additional training in Chinese culinary techniques will be an added advantage.
- Proven ability to prepare a wide range of traditional and contemporary Chinese dishes.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Excellent knife skills, precision in food preparation, and a strong sense of taste and flavor balance.
- Creative flair for food presentation and menu design.
- Ability to lead and train kitchen staff while fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and staff effectively.
